As some of you may know, expanding federal support for embryonic stem cell research is a top legislative priority for JDRF. 

Since the district court injunction two weeks ago against President Obama’s Executive Order from March 2009, we have been working in conjunction with the Coalition for the Advancement of Medical Research (CAMR) to reverse the ruling.  CAMR was formed almost 10 years ago by JDRF and other disease groups.

This past Friday, September 3, CAMR filed a legal motion in support of the Justice Department, which filed an emergency motion to stay the district court injunction as well as a notice to appeal the decision on September 1.
